Spec-S is the naturally-aspirated half of the S15 Silvia lineup — the final Silvia chassis, built from 1999 through August 2002. Where the flagship Spec-R carries the turbocharged SR20DET and a six-speed gearbox, the Spec-S runs the 2.0-liter SR20DE without the turbo, a five-speed manual (or automatic), and a viscous limited-slip diff rather than the Spec-R helical unit.
