About the Nissan 180SX
The 180SX is the fastback, pop-up-headlight sibling of the S13 Silvia, built for the Japanese market from 1989 to 1998 on the same S-platform under the RPS13 chassis code. From 1991 the desirable cars carried the 2.0-liter SR20DET turbo four rated at 205 PS, driving the rear wheels through a five-speed manual — the same running gear that made the S13 a tuning and drifting favorite, but wrapped in the liftback body enthusiasts prize. Importers list them because the hatchback silhouette, "Type X" trim, and SR20 swap potential all draw a dedicated following.
